There is probably not one person in the world who is not affected by this crisis in a way or another.. all challenged in different ways and at different levels.. medical teams, patients, employees, leaders, entrepreneurs, self-employed, families, singles.. But while facing a common threat we feel how interdependent we are, how much we need each other for our individual and collective survival. We feel connectedness.
We see cooperation, mutual support and care spreading, people calling each other more often, honoring health care professionals, offering their help, connecting in and between organisations to find solutions in a way they would never have done before, etc. Our sense of collective bond is expanding.
Of course some people will still behave egoistically in times of panic, there will always be. But the force that unites us is stronger. We are all one, regardless where we are, our appearance or what we do for a living. A humankind reuniting.
Let’s help each other further as much we can, let’s consider the impact on others when we make decisions. Let‘s strengthen this global sense of belonging. It has been a long time since we had the opportunity to experience it so intensively..
It is a beautiful renaissance of “Ubuntu”, the Zulu word for our humanity “I am because you are”. Do you feel it?
